Old Gippstown has probably the largest collection of original horse-drawn vehicles in Victoria in its museum. This new purpose-built Horse Drawn Vehicles Museum houses twelve of our most significant vehicles including the American Speed Cart c.1880, glass fronted Landau c.1890, a rare Tuck’s Baker’s Van, Farmer’s Dog Cart c.1915, Furphy Water Tank 1920, WW1 Mark VI Military Ambulance (only one other known on display in the Australian War Memorial), WW1 General Service Wagon, Adelaide Express c.1910, Station Express, Pony Phaeton c.1880-1890, Coal Box Buggy and Governess Car c. 1900. There is also another display of a town coach, buggies, vans and wagons in the old Coach House as well as other vehicles displayed around the park and working vehicles in the Farm Contractors’ Shed.
